I got the same message from this number about the Department of Foreign Affairs. I recently applied for a passport so I'd say it's about that too.

I received the same message this morning. Thought I might string them along, as I could still see my car, but they didn't respond.

Just received an SMS from 0412 267 500. It was supposedly from Optus regarding a free Fetch box I haven't received. If I replied they would then arrange delivery! Optus do send messages but his wasn't one of them....scam.

Supposedly got a message saying my newspaper subscription would be cancelled because I had not paid invoice - great, since I haven't had a subscription for five years. Some sort of scam?

It's a Web based SMS service's main transmission number. Anyone who signs up to the service will have this number come up

Just had a text from this no telling me my car had been towed with a rego - I have no cars registered in my name and this is a work mobile. Gave no to call which is correct no for Main Roads WA. Not sure if scam or wrong number but given prior posts must be a scam but not sure what they can do with that?

I received an SMS on my personal mobile number purporting to be from ACT elections telling me I was in so and so electorate. When I asked how they accessed my private mobile number they told me it was on a voter registration form. When I told them I did not give my number as a contact, they wrote back and said that my number was registered with another voters details and my number must be new. I wrote back and said no I have had my number for many, many years. I asked them again how they got my number and that I wanted to know who was funding the SMS as I am referring it to the AFP and have had no response.

I received a text message from the above number and it was supposedly from NRMA - how can that be possible when all the other comments above advise that the number is being used by other businesses? I just made it a Spam text message...

Got a message from this number to call Sunshine Hospital giving another number close to the Hospital's number but not exact. Scam I would say

Disregard all the above claims. This number is a debt collector acting for banks and credit cards recoveries. NCML. They themselves input above to throw the scent. It's becoming the new tactile.

Phone did not ring as was in hand and i recieved a missed call number then a text message saying its christina from AUstralian passport office. There two numbers this one and a 132 number. This mobile number did not answer and the other number talked for ages on passport office. I hung up after 2minutes and googled this number. Is this a scam? They also called me in text my shortened name not my full name. Thought that was odd too
