SMS about accounts being locked supposedly from a bank we don't have accounts with. Definite scammer.

Said it was a PayPal Alert and $320 was sent to uber.payments @ y7mail.com with a transaction ID.

Definitely wasn't from paypal.

ARMA Australian Recoveries & Collections
Recd previous SMS abt old settled acct with Telstra (whom I never rented a phone from which the TIO confirmed). I emailed them ASAP disputing this and requesting that ARMA stop all collection action until they look into it. Collection agents are lazy but greedy and in this case confirmed it. A week later, I received a reply to my email that the account was on hold. Then I got another SMS from this mobile number a week later again alleging a debt and requesting payment. ARMA said they placed this on hold and then harassed me with SMS. Collection agents want a quick return for their minimal effort by attempting to bully whomever Telstra feels is not adding to their excess profits.

If you get an SMS from these bogans, set up a throwaway email account and email them that you dispute them. DO NOT REPLY TO THEIR SMS. They do not know if you still have that number. DO NOT CALL THEM. They record all conversations and will attempt to make you pay based on false information like Telstra provides.

I will be reporting them to the ACCC.
