Missed the call then rang back and got a number disconnected recording. Fishy???

Called at 5:58 am and hung up when I answered. Who calls at that time of day. I have blocked this number.

I believe this is a ss7 attack. A way for scammers to get into your phone. Once you answer, they are in your phone, they can read texts, listen to phone calls, look at anything. I answered one and I could hear someone breathing thru my phone, when I said, "I an hear you", they hung up. I heard them a second time and I had words with them, then I tried to hang up and I couldn't. Only way I could was to turn my phone off and remove SIM. I have no idea if they are still in my phone, it's rather annoying.....and a bit scary actually.

They have rung me 3 times in the last 10 days.
I don't recognise the number so I don't answer.
I have blocked them today.

Rang back, message on their phone sounded something like "Rays Phone", said they were ringing on behalf of a registered charity and may call again.

This no keeps calling every afternoon. It is a charity for animals I think.

I rang back and it's a company (but I missed the name) on behalf of a charity. Aussie voice in message but it was at 9.45 am so someone should be there. Said they'll probably call again. Maybe legitimate?
