This one is a classic. I was told I won $20,000 by Telstra even though the guy said he wasn't from Telstra. I started laughing and the guy got offended because he thought I was laughing at him. I said send me an email with the details because I don't believe you. He even gave me a ticket number of 3dg3262. What's funny is that he asked me for my email address and guess what my email is with guess who? I then hung up abruptly because staying on the line made me nervous.

Woman with Indian accent claiming to be from Telstra saying I have an internet problem. Told her I didn't have any internet problems and I didn't believe she was from Telstra, and after some to-ing and fro-ing, she hung up.

Caller said he is from Telstra technical department and found my internet was being used by others. They were trying to help me to identify these people, by asking me to switch on my computer. I told him that I don’t have a computer, then he hang up the phone.

Very annoying how persistent these people are. They rang while my phone was on contacts only mode. They used an unlisted phone emergency procedure.

Yet another call with similar numbers from an Indian call centre purporting to be from NBN. Second call for the day. They knew my name. The woman tried to argue with me when I accused them of being a scam and she should be disgusted with herself for being a criminal. Note that the call somehow switched to 0413 862 809 during the call. I hung up and called both numbers back to be advised by Optus that the numbers were either incomplete or incorrect. Definite scam becoming tiring. Numbers blocked. Beware.
