Then said they would need to cancel my credit card immediately and asked if I could write down this reference number… And would I be using a phone or laptop to complete the process, so they could give me the correct instructions… It all fell apart pretty quickly after that. I asked for their phone number, where they were from, which card or bank were they talking about. He told me to hurry. He told me to be worried. I told him {}#^**+]}^=<£€! But it was a convincing opening line.
