Caller: A call centre A call centre (possibly overseas) called my mother. The caller said they were from “bank security”, checking the veracity of a large payment from her bank account to a “James Smith”. When repeatedly questioned which bank, the caller reluctantly said CBA. My mother told them she didn’t have an account with them. The scammer hung up.
