Got a SMS that looked to be a 2FA code. Just said "here is the code" and no other info. I tend to use an app rather than codes sent via SMS so not sure the purpose of this.

Text asking to click on link to accept being a reference check for someone applying for job at Centrelink

SMS claiming to be regarding medical appointment in Redcliffe Qld in 2 weeks time. I didn't book a medical appointment & don't live in Qld. Clearly a scam/spam text.

Claiming to be the ICC Sydney for up coming events. Map and Web page URL's look very suspicious.

A representative from the National National Disability Insurance Agency will be calling you from a private number today at 4pm........ This was a text I received from this number today. As clients of the NDIS we waited around for the call that didn't come till I checked the number out. on this site.

Claiming to be an Australian survey on behalf of IPC Health sent links to reply.

Unsolicited SMS from Last Minute Loan - a dodgy company offering payday loans to people who haven't even enquired about their product. The messages are addressed to a different name than mine and I have never looked into their services or any similar. I believe they're sending out bulk messages addressed to fake names, phishing for people with financial problems during the COVID-19 pandemic which is truly disgusting. They send from a different number each time. I've reported them to the Australian Communications and Media Authority for the spam since I'm on the Do Not Call Register.

Caller: Last Minute Loans - predatory payday loan scam

Last Minute Loans have used this number (among others) to send out unsolicited spam for their predatory payday loans. I assume they're sending out bulk SMS trying to scam people who have lost their jobs during the COVID-19 pandemic. Definitely avoid!!
