Wanting volunteers for the Red Cross Calling appeal in March.
Claims to be a woman named Ash from the red cross. As my number is unlisted, i have no idea how they have it, I am not impressed at all, that she thinks its ok to spam my phone with multiple Text messages. Number has been Blocked and reported as spam. Caller: SMS from Ash twice
Had my legit first name in both texts - so quite wary how that is connected with my mobile number, what was the source? Not sure if spam or scam but SMS is not one of the methods listed for contact by Red Cross

2 SMS over 2 days ... wanting to recruit / volunteer for 'Red Cross Calling - doorknock' in March 2019 , with a link (did not click link)

Text claiming to be from the Red Cross soliciting for collectors. Have never given my number out. I called Red Cross Head Office and they confirmed a message from Ash is legitimate and they are contacting people who have been affiliated with Red Cross in some way, previous volunteering, courses or even financial donation. I advised this number was listed a few times on this site so they may need to look into their process. Caller: red cross
