Threatening legal action is being taken by the federal government, and know what is required before going to court I was to press 1 Telstra was the carrier, and Telstra is liable under their indemnity bond, for failure in their duty of care, allowing scammers to do harm. Update Optus has now become the carrier. so they now are liable.
