Caller: Scammer text The ‘you have a LINKT account outstanding bill of $5.83 outstanding’ is doing the rounds again. Funny, cos I dont have a car, so why would I have a LINKT toll account? DON’T CLICK ON THE LINK IN THE SMS. DON’T CALL THEM BACK. The scammers are ‘spoofing’ legitimate mobile phone numbers to do their scams. You’re not being scammed by the real owner of the phone number. Scammers are just manipulating data to cover their own phone number. These Indian scammers need to be stopped. The Indian police are in the pay and they are ripping people off worldwide. These b*st*rods need to die. LINKT NEVER SEND SMS MESSAGES ABOUT OVERDUE BILLS. THEY SEND A PENALTY NOTICE BY MAIL. SAME AS ATO AND AUST POST.
