Female with a foreign Irish accent named Kerry called claiming that she is apart of a government suprannuation initiative - she refused to give me the name of the company she was calling from and kept reffering to herself as an information service. She later claimed to work for some of the largest superannuation services in Australia. I asked 5 x times for her company name and refused to disclose her name. Claims she is calling from the Gold Coast. She spoke very fast, very patronising, and tired misleading me a few times throughout our conversation. She kept laughing when I kept asking for her details, stating I was angry - mind games. She wanted to speak to me about suprannuation. Looks like a professional scam employing holiday makers. She purposefully tried to instigate a negative response by being quick and misleading. Be cautious and do not provide your information. Looks like these people call and play games with people until they catch someone vulnerable enough to provide them with information. Seems as if there were other call centre employees in the background in a small suite. I tried calling back and the number has been disconnected. No government organisation, or reputatable business will withhold their entity name from you. They must legally provide you their details. A legitimate organisation will ask you for permission before calling you. There are many of these scams afloat. You should report these scams to ASIC with all details, including IP addresses if any. The more information they have, the quicker these scamers will be stopped.

Caller: Claiming to be from a Government agency Caller advised she was from a Government agency proving a “Health Check” on my super and said the government is looking into super providers over charging. She said it only apply’s to people under the age of 57yrs old and had a super amount of over $100,000. I kindly responded: I’m more than happy with my super and remove my name and number immediately off your call list.
