Said she was Jasmine from afterpay and Kogan called to say someone purchased a large amount on my afterpay. Had my name, address, phone number and email address. Said she would need to send me a verification number and if I read it out to her she could go ahead and cancel the transaction. I have her an incorrect verification number while silently trying to log into my afterpay account. It wouldn’t let me in because they’d used the wrong code too many times. I asked to speak with her manager. He told me the same thing. I told them that it appeared they were trying to scam me then he hung up.

Caller: Afterpay

Got a call this afternoon from Afterpay, saying there was a suspicious charge on my account from Kogan. After I played with the lady for a bit, I asked her how someone could use my Afterpay account when I don't have one and she hung up. This is a scam!

Same happen to me today afternoon while I am driving way back home as well, had my name and my mobile number, she said from Afterpay security department also mentioned Kogan.com had $649.00 un-excepted amount, and she send me message of Afterpay verification code to stop that amounts, I did told her the correct number than 2 mins later I got email from Afterpay said that I did changing my password. After 20mins I went back home log in my Afterpay account and change my password again. And checking my credit card was linked to Afterpay but nothings happen yet. Hopefully its ok.
