Caller: Scam MyGov text SCAM. SCAM SCAM. MYGOV text scam . Had an SMS text message from this number claiming to be from MYGOV. It read “MYGOV new notification” which was followed by a link . The link takes you a form to be filled out requesting significant personal, financial , Centrelink & ATO information. The form is made to look genuine and looks just like the real thing.
BEWARE: this is NOT from MYGOV. It’s a scam to obtain personal details including full name, DOB, bank account details, ATO information including tax file number, date of last tax assessment, reference number etc etc. It looks genuine, but it is NOT. I logged on to MyGov official site and there is a warning in there about this scam.
Needed to put this warning out there. Don’t be fooled by these despicable scammers.
