Hired a limousine from him for my wedding anniversary. No show, won't return my money been trying to reach him since May. Not connecting. Think his partner blocked me too.

Known gumtree and general low life scammer. Intelligent and slick. I got scammed out of money I transferred to his CBA mobile for a transmission Wanted ad I placed on Gumtree. Said his name was "Michael" and that his father in Melbourne had the transmission sitting on a pallet ready to go. Said his father was Christopher Clarke and gave his bank account details, I would say this is the scammer's name, as it's pretty hard to give false names to get bank accounts (or is it?). It was CBA Mobile account in Martin Place, Sydney. He said the transmission was in Melbourne and that he was in Box Hill Vic. This is the number he used to call my landline on and talk about the transmission. I tried to call it the next day but it was disconnected.

He gave me another number for his "Dad" in Melbourne but no answer when I called it. But I could sense he was there ignoring it!

He is very slick and crafty, be warned!! I said to him I was wary of scammers on Gumtree and even said he himself had been scammed out of $900 from a concert ticket scam! So things like that gained my trust.

Here's another example of things he might say to gain your trust: "...We're not rushed on the money whatsoever he just suggested the osko payment so that he knew if it was going to be a wait or not so he didn't get it mixed up with any other business payments. We're not worried either way, Cheers..."

He never signed off with his name and never used my name, always "mate" which I don't particularly like.

By the way, he gave his/ his father's email address as: chrisclarke1958 @ gmail.com

I would say that this is the email address he has linked to the gumtree account (which was started in 2021 and has no items for sale)
