Caller: They said it was from NBN National Broadband The caller sounded like a recorded message saying my IP address for my internet connection had been accessed by a third party; if I did not want to be a victim of cyber crime I had to press "one" to speak to a technician.
I'm not on NBN, so I didn't press one. The call ran out.
I then dialed this number and just a normal person answered. I explained what had happened and she said it wasn't her. I am assuming the scammers now hack someone's phone number for the purposes of displaying a caller whilst actually calling from a different number.
