Caller: I don’t know THIS IS A SCAM TEXTER. “Mum, I have smashed my phone please contact me on my new number on whatsapp 0485 870 584 it's urgent.”
My mother was tricked using this same tactic. They pretend to be your child in need of urgent financial assistance and it is VERY hard to get your money back when you report them to police. ALWAYS CALL YOUR CHILD TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT BEING SCAMMED.
