Caller: Pretending to be Australian Tax Office I received a robocall from this number claiming it was the ATO and my "case" was going to be "forwarded to court" unless I pressed 1. I hit 1 and was forwarded to what sounded like an overseas call centre. I asked them what they get out of this scam, and they hung up on me immediately.
The ATO will never call you in this way, let alone with a "robocall".
