Caller: Claims to be from Google I received a strange email from Google saying someone tried to list my Gmail account as their recovery address. "Google Workspace team" then called me, asking if I logged a ticket with them yesterday about this. I said no. I gave no personal info. 20 mins later, somone called back from the "Google security team" from the same number. They tried to get my personal information (all they had was my email address). I asked them to give me a publicly listed Google Support number I could call them back on, they gave me some nonsense USA based number that didn't show up in a Google search. The guy then offered to call me back from a US number that I could then verify was a legit Google number from their website. He didn't call back. Both callers had an American accent and sounded convincing. My Google account was already secure, but now it's even more secure. Don't fall for this scam.
