These scammers have been trying multiple times per day from different international and domestic numbers. It’s always the same recorded male voice in a generic Western accent advising I’m under investigation by (insert organisation) and that my bank accounts, ID etc etc will be suspended unless I press (insert number) and wait to speak to the next available officer yada yada. I block each number and the calls keep coming (and going to voicemail). It’s playing whack-a-mole!!

At least I’m progressing up the ranks. The organizations I’m allegedly in the sights of started with Centrelink, then it was the Tax Office (must have found a job at last!), then Legal something (hmmm, start of career in corporate crime?), Australian Border Force (going international now), and now I’ve reached the top - Australian Criminal Investigation Commission which apparently is the umbrella organisation of all criminal investigation agencies.

What shall I do for an encore? Hmmm… maybe join politics, then expect a call from ICAC?
