Caller: Scam for Emergency Services Magazine

This is the same as many other scams I've seen on here where the person thanks you for your support with magazine XYZ (I've had three various calls), preying on your memory, and makes you feel bad for not helping and how there will be a big gap in the magazine or they'll take legal action, whatever. Sometimes I have actually spoken to them and say no thanks, maybe later, and so when they call back, they mention your conversation but add that you agreed to the booking - so you think "hmmm, maybe I did agree". I just tell them straight out that I'm calling bullsh*t and she can send me an email from her supervisor. Of Course they don't.

If you don't have an invoice that is signed and returned to them, they have no legal power. I have worked in the media and without that, they can't do anything. A verbal agreement doesn't constitute a contract.
