Scammer do not pay him any money - pretending to be legit fencing companies using their company name etc to rip people off and take deposits. Report if this number contacts you

Caller: Posed as the legitimate owner of a fencing company after I placed an ad on OneFlare and stole our money.

Scammed us out of a deposit for a fence. He is actually changing the number on the legitimate company's website to direct calls to him. I also received a written quote on OneFlare from another different company and the email address was the same as the bank account details given to me. He has an email address in the real company's name...but with one letter different. He has exact replicas of their invoices with their ABN & GST numbers on them. I've spoken with the owners of the company and he has done this accross QLD and NSW as well as WA. This is not just a scam. It's fraud. The Police have all my info.

Got my details from a Hipages ad asking for a fence. Was supposed to start on Sunday. Paid for 'materials', didn't know. Says held up at another job. Monday - same thing; send extra money for rest of materials. Tuesday (today) - said "boys on their way". Called the real company and they said this isn't the first time somebody has been scammed. Called the Police and Bankwest as the account is Bankwest too (same as mine). He keeps saying he'll refund me. Haven't told him I know. Well mate, thanks for scamming me, now we need to get our money back and find somebody to actually do the job - that was our savings! I wish I searched the number before.

Imitating genuine tradies and scamming people out of money

Scammer. Pretending to be a decking company.

Scammer saying he was a decking expert and used a legitimate companies web page. We rang the real company who had no idea who this scammer was.
