Called and said they were from VISA and MASTERCARD fraud department.
Didn't acknowledge my name or ID check. Advised me I had a payment pending of $1800 to a company in the US. I said i didnt authorise the charge and they said they would pass me on to the manager of the team to go through the details.. very suspicious asked what bank and they guessed correctly. Then asked how i use my card most i.e. phone, tap, online etc. and to never give out detials. When I said I didnt feel comfortable discussing it over the phone the man sounded annoyed and said we weren't discussing details..I said I would call my bank seperately the man said he could transfer me to my local branch. I said no I would call through myself and he got mad and hung up on me.
