Scam message purported to be from a doctor at a clinic that we usually went but we never saw that doctor. The message was definitely not from that clinic, and the URL was wrong. Didn't click the URL, as not sure what's behind it.

Text message purporting to be HotDoc asking me to confirm a skin check appointment in Brisbane when I live in Victoria. Feels very scammy, and not written like a usual confirmation text would be. Be wary!

0409 593 783 repeatedly sent me these text messages.
On 5 Aug 2025 :
“Hi Isabella, this is your confirmation for your appt on Tue 5 Aug at 08.10PM with Jackson Court Clinic at Jackson Court Clinic”

I texted back :
“I'm not Isabella and do not have any appointment tonight at 8.10pm at Jackson Court Clinic.
Please check the number and update your records.”

“Hi Isabella, you have an appointment tomorrow at 05.40PM with Jackson Court Clinic. You can confirm or cancel here: https://htd.io/k6tsgwf7t “

I tried to call that mobile number +61 409 593 783 but I get a recorded message that this mobile number is switched off.
Must be a scammer.
Reporting this pest mobile number +61 409 593 783 to ACMA Spam hotline which is 0429 999 888.

This number was used to send a fake link to an on-line medical booking service using valid details about existing medical centres. Seems like an attempt to steal patient information or discredit other on-line booking companies.

Same, wanting medicare approval. From a dr that treated dad when he was alive but not the drs number. I rang the number and mobile always switched off. Scam. Not clicking on any links.

Caller: Said insurance company dealing with mother's claim, got her full name and address and phone numbers, but hung up when she continued about her complaints.

I live in WA and didn't make an appointment.

Not expecting any requests to make doctor's appointments with my doctor. Also who sends a text message mid-afternoon, that starts with 'Good Morning'? Look at Reverseau - they say there has been a flurry of complaints about this number. It could be legitimate, or it could be a sophisticated scam so if in doubt, ring your doctor's rooms directly to confirm but do not click on any links in the text message.

Not a scam, used by doctors, actually legit.

The SMS message just read... "HI, Click here".. No way Hosea.
They dint have the ourtesy as to who who it was from.
