Was recorded Asian voice saying that it's an urgent message from Telstra, that my service was going to be disconnected, and to press 1 for English or 2 for Chinese.

It then said something in an Asian language (I assume Chinese), that I think was same spiel as I made out the word "Telstra" in amongst the foreign jargon.

My service isn't actually Telstra, so wasnt at all concerned, but pressed 1 anyway just out of curiosity to see what scam they were trying to pull.

But, upon pressing 1, the line went dead. Not even a noticeable hang up or disconnect really, more just silence, a dead air that had me checking to see if the line was still open or call ended.

I think the number may have been spoofed though (as in, just not sure the actual owner of that number here in 'Straya knew anything about weirdo call placed to me from their number).

I just tried calling the number back, just now, to see if it was one of those "please check the number before calling again" recordings, to add the result to my "review" bit here. But it rang, no worries, and some Aussie guy picked up, seemingly oblivious to the weirdo Asian Telstra scam call that had rung me from his number. I dunno. *shrugs*
