I received 2 text messages within the last two weeks, saying:

ARL; We tried calling you but could not get through. Please call 1300 789 213 OR rply CALLME and we will attempt to call you back today.Quote Ref DN1055*

Since I have been sending out a lot of job applications I first assumed it might be potential employer but I couldn't associate the acronym with any of the companies I had applied to.

Someone else put a flag on the 1300* number on this website.

I assume one of the job platforms I've been using might have either been sold my phone number or been compromised.

arl recoveries ask for your personal info before they tell you anything about what they are ringing for . and very rude

Claims to be collecting on behalf of RACV in regards to an outstanding claim for a motor incident. Had a reference number and everything.

Contacted RACV directly and quoted ref number. They had nothing on file.

A month later, exact same text with identical reference number claiming to be collecting on behalf of NRMA.

Not insured with either and don’t own a car.

Same issue. Claiming to be ARL sent a couple of text messages about a paypal account. Was a bit confusing as they have what looks like a website, but this is a scam. Our paypal account is fine.
