I had an sms from this number saying: You may be entitled to a refund on your account previously held with Radio Rentals. Please call 1300 556 904 quoting reference 6961299. I assumed a scam, so I haven't replied to it.

National Credit Management chasing someone up about a debt. Absolute nuisances.

They are now getting to the point of absolute nusance. The woman I spoke to wanted me to provide significant personal details to her to "identify" myself before telling me what the issue was for the calll. When challenged on that I have no outstanding debts to anyone anywhere, she became very defensive. I told her she could put her company's "privacy policy" in the mail and show me evidence. I hung up then and have not heard from them since except a couple of ineffectual texts telling me to call them back.

I got this:
"We have an important matter to discuss with you. Please call 1300 556 904 and quote (7 letter reference) .."

Never had an account with AGL, nor have they supplied me gass or electricity..most likely scammers.
I rang my company, who gave me the number for AGL and they use 8 digit reference numbers that dont start with what I was given.
just a tad suss!

I had a message from that number asking me to call another number. It isn't a number I recognise and I wanted to check its validity.
