He contacted me too. He has a fake profile and wanted to meet up on Friday in Mildura Vic. He is using fake pictures and a fake account. He has stalked me on Facebook so unfortunately he knows who I am and I know nothing about who he is.

I put a ad on Gumtree saying I needed a one bedroom unit ASAP and this number messaged me saying he had one in hunter st Newcastle for $170 a week and wants me to put the money in his account tomorrow

scammed me too guys outta $280 the scum...posted an ad on gumtree saying my partner and I are looking for a rental property and he msged me within 2 minutes...if anyone has any info on where he lives etc, please let me know, it would be greatIy appreciated. I have reported this to the police, please do the same if he's screwed you over!!

Still talking to him dose anyone knows his name all the profiles he has up are fake i have track his friend and they both live on gold coast he got me good

So this guy tried to add me on facebook we got chatting and decided to swap phone numbers but I had previously blocked this number in my phone so the messages went to my "blocked" inbox. Cannot remember original interation with this guy but he claims he only got this number 3 weeks ago.

can the police get him? he,s trying to rent us a place on gumtree, 200perweek and $400 bond, pay bond place is ours, thing is the place looks to nice for $200 a week, just doesnt add up, if he scams how come the police dont do anything?

Also been scammed I reckon. Will know for certain tomorrow. Didn't show up with key at property at Newtown, Sydney today. Approached us when we said we were looking for short term rental in Sydney. Even sent photos and was very insistent on payment. Have learnt a hard lesson about crooks out there. Should have been far smarter. Don;t send any money.

Anyone have any details? Trying to locate said culprit.
