Caller: It was a msg sent through to my mums phone

This phone number left a msg on my mums phone saying Hello, dad Please reply as soon as this comes through so I know it's responsive because I had to change my SIM after dropping my phone into the sink.

Then my mum texted back panicking thinking it was me but it wasn't. Mum wrote back to the scammer saying hello (with my nickname).
The scammer wrote back hey dad just save this number for now.
Big scam. I know this is a similar scam to the other ones out there that is the popular scam.
Make sure you know it's your child's number and it would come through with there name and think hang on my child wouldn't text like this.
Just be careful everyone as my mum thought it was me.
