Caller: They acted as is they were my daughter. They used this number to sms me that they were my daughter. That she accidentally broke her phone, destroying the sim card as well and needed to buy a new one. Proceeded to tell me they need me to transfer some money into her account because some security code was sent to her old number and can't pay for the replacement phone. My daughter and I send money back and forth often so the rest of the messages didn't sound right so I showed my son...he also agreed the sms's sounded wrong and rang his sister on her original number, it rang out so he used messenger and got through, she said her phone is fine and she wasn't texting anyone and that she didn't answer her phone in time.
Basically is was a scammer acting as if I was their parent and wanting help because they broke their phone.
