Caller: supposedly from Telstra about my internet

Said there was an issue with my internet as it was being hacked. I told the idiot to go forth and multiply

Caller: Telstra .. supposedly

Said there was issue with my internet .. I resisted .. He was very rude, when challenged.

Did not know number and refused to answer

A man with indian accent called Peter saying he is with Telstra security department SIT0071 wanting to "help" find out why who is using my internet and what wires are connected to my router. Really didnt want to let me go.

Said he was from telstra security. Told him well and truly where to go.

Also received a call from this number claiming to be from Telstra about the security on my mobile. Funny how he couldn't give me my name.

Caller: Supposedly Telstra

This is the security department of telstra. I stopped them and told them to sit on it and rotate.

Received multiple calls stating they are from the security team at Telstra, reporting my WIFI had been compromised. They wanted access to my computer to fix the issue. SCAM!

Caller: He called himself ‘Kevin’

When I answered the phone, Kevin introduced himself like he was someone I knew & dealt with often. He asked about Apple Gift Cards & intimated that I’d previously ordered/supplied them from him. I told him I didn’t know what he was talking about & asked for more information so that I could identify him. He apologised, said he had the wrong number & hung up. I thought it might have been a wrong number until I googled his number & found others who had been contacted on this number purportedly from Telstra, so a scammer. Beware...

Reckoned my internet had too much activity on it and it was at risk, I cut him off with my personal opinion of his crap and hung up!

Caller: No name given

He said he was from the Telstra fraud department. I suspected it was a scam and asked the name of his manager. He became defensive and said " who asks those questions?" Quite obviously a scam and it seems I'm not the only one to receive calls from this number. I blocked the number (should have hung up straight away)

I believe this number was a scam caller and did not answer as when I called back there was a recording advising that I could not leave a message

Hung up after a recording saying ‘goodbye’

yes just had a guy call to say he was from Telstra saying i have a problem with my internet...um hello i am not even with telstra..i hung up on him

The lady said her name was ‘Christine’ from the security office of Visa and MasterCard and that there had been ‘overseas’ transactions noted on my account. I asked her to ‘verify’ who she was and the company she is from and she said ‘Why do you want to verify me?’ And then cut the call. Any sniff of their scam and they drop the call quickly.
