Caller: Someone from Amazon Prime Please be careful! I got a call from what looked like a familiar and local mobile phone number. There was an automated message letting me know me know that Amazon Prime was withdrawing my &95 from my personal account to pay for an annual subscription of Amazon Prime. If I wanted to cancel “press 1”. So I did (because I’ve been having problems cancelling my subscriptions) and then this friendly man told me he could help me with cancelling my subscription. He told me to download the “Zoho Assist Customer” App which allows for screen sharing. He gave me a number so I could share my screen on my phone with him….suddenly the alarm bells went off and I hung up and deleted the app before I pressed the “join” button. I’m usually really careful about answering unknown numbers but I’ve recently missed a few important calls so I picked up and I got sucked in because I’ve been having problems with cancelling my Amazon Prime subscription.
