rang 29th August 2022 around midday - potential identity theft scam - automated msg said i had bought 500 worth of stuff on ebay and that if this was not me please press 1 - went to call centre to guy with Indian accent asking to check my personal details - starting with name, i asked if it was a scam and will only give my details if they prove that it isn't a scam by using my number to look up my ebay account - they immediately hung up on me, didn't even say 'we can't do that', so yeah, dodgey as f. internet search on number shows it has been used in various overseas countries in Asia - so scammer not even based in Australia.
