Caller: Allegedly from Vodafone

Offered 30% loyalty discount on monthly for the next three months and also giving us a reward for loyalty of Samsung Galaxy Tab. Asked for identity details drivers lic and also passport after they claimed lic no good. Long story short, unfortunately we were scammed- on the bright side the unauthorised orders of samsung and iphone 13 max did not go through after we contacted vodafone. Reported to police for possible identity theft.

Caller: People claiming to be from Telstra and Commonwealth Bank

A person called my saying they were from Telstra. They already knew my name but insisted that I still spell it out, from there I ended the call.

About an hour later, I got a call from the same phone number. This time the person was claiming to be from Commonwealth Bank asking if I had bought an iPhone worth $1200 in Adelaide.

Caller: Scammer claiming to Vodafone

Scammer claiming to be Vodafone offering me a 3 month discount on my plan. Sent me a text message from 'Vodafone AU' asking me to read out the 6 digit pin. Then asked me for my Vodafone 4 digit pin. Then asked me to read out my drivers license number and expiry date. I rung Vodafone straight away and they have confirmed this is a scam and that they have tried to order a new iPhone 13 and set up a new connection under my account. Luckily Vodafone were able to cancel this for me. I am going to contact Vic Roads now as well.

Apparently, it was Vodafone who called offering 40% off my next 3 months bill because of covid. She asked for my pin and when I asked her what is my name she said "Samantha". i said sorry hun, that's not my name. When I asked again she didn't answer. so I hung up on her. SCAM DO NOT ANSWER OR GIVE YOUR DETAILS!! VODAFONE WOULD NOT ASK YOUR PIN AND ASK YOU FOR YOUR INFORMATION. they would already have it.

Purported to be calling from Vodaphone.
Called them out on running a SCAM, which they denied. Asked what SCAM they are running? Again caller denied this and said "As you wish, Sir" and hung up on me.

Caller: Claiming to be vodafone

Got nearly scammed. Indian sounding woman claiming to be from Vodafone. Wanted to give me 30% discount for 3 months off my phone bill. At first I was like awesome! She asked for my 4 digit account pin which I gave her. Then she asked to give them code from the txt msg they sent me( OTP) . Lucky I realised I'm possibly getting scammed and hanged up the phone. I called Vodafone straight away to change my account pin in case they will try to do something. Confirmed that I was dealing with scammers. Beware.

I answered the call and had to wait maybe 20-30 seconds for somebody to answer.
When they answered it was a foreign accent.
Because of the delay and suspected "overseas" call I simply hung up.

Rang to say they were offering me 30% off my Vodafone bill for the next three months. I was in the movies and told them to ring back later. I contacted Vodafone who said they never ring to offer discounts. Have now blocked this number.

I didn't answer, luckily spam protection alerted me to the number. Might be the same guy that called Easter weekend and threatened me, by saying he knew where I was.

Claimed to be calling from Vodafone to offer me, a loyal customer, a 30% discount for the next 3 months. Happy to proceed? Sure. Then please give me your 4 digit PIN for Vodafone and I will make the billing change right away....

100% SCAM!

Vodafone would never ask for a customers PIN.

Claimed to be from Optus. Was a dodgy indian sounding guy who was not sure of himself. Said I was getting a refund for my bill due to poor coverage in my area and then asked for my CCard details and what my pin numbers were for the optus app.

Person called me and asked if I was <name I only use for my facebook profile> . They said my husband gave them my number (I'm unmarried). They said they heard I like to suck d*cks. I then proceeded to give them a talking to about wasting their life.

0403 189 527 called at about 2:35 pm. Well at least that was the number that displayed. I didn’t recognise the number and so I picked up the call but did not speak. The caller did not speak either and hung up after about two seconds. Suss.
