If I don't know the number I don't answer. If it was important they would leave a message could be anyone from a telemarketing company to a scam

Caller: Research institute

They rang twice in the last two days and did not leave a message.
Being a mobile number I decided to return the call to find out who.
The phone redirected a few times and finally someone answered as the (something) research institute.
They called me by name.
I hung up.
I supported these charities well when I was working, but in retirement I dont have "surplus" funds.
Though I would like to.

Same here, unrecognised number, went to answering machine but failed to leave a message

called yesterday at 9:30am and I called them back about 4pm. Some animal place that said I had supported them previously. told them i wasn't interested. So I get a call today at 10:30am from them AGAIN.

Was attempting to sell some raffle tickets for the Animal Welfare League.

Phone identified as suspicious - have now blocked the number

Caller: Apparently, from the Heart Instute

Rang and did not come on the line to speak for a delayed time, and would not take NO not interested cant afford etc etc several times, until I terminated the call after approx 4 mins.

My phone flagged it as a suspicious calling pattern
