Calls every two days and no voice message

Caller: “Research Institute of Australia”

Said I was entitled to a government initiative/incentive and had 3 questions to ask including combined household income. I declined and they literally hung up!

Received a call tonight from The Australian Institute of research. Asked me if my partner and I earned over $90,000, did we rent/mortgage, did we have Superannuation in excess of $200k, are we under 57 years of age.

They had my name and address incorrectly listed. I didn’t correct them as I don’t know who they are.

I told me I would receive a call in up to 3 days time to tell me about the government incentives I might receive. When I asked if they were funded by the Government (I thought this might be related to the upcoming Federal Election- bit of a sweetener), I was told by the caller that they weren’t because the Australian Government would never proactively advise you about any incentives you may be entitled to.

My guess is that these people will call and try to switch me over to some dubious superannuation scheme.

The number is now blocked!

How sad that in this day and age (maybe not surprising) that we are hunted at home whilst we’re making dinner.

If we’d been born many years ago, we would have seen the wolf at our door! Now we can’t see the wolf - we don’t even know if it’s there!

Please educate anyone you know about this Call! Particularly the elderly. They prey on the vulnerable.

Called about survey to minimise tax and missing benefits from govt. Starting asking questions about employment and income. I asked what benefits it related to but he couldn't really answer the question. Said he wasn't qualified. Sounded like a scam, so I hung up.

Same - Calls every few hours. And doesn’t leave a voicemail. Try to call back and goes to voicemail - "mailbox is full cannot leave a message, call back later."

Caller claiming to be from the Australian Institute of Research, whatever that may be.. I hung up before they had an opportunity to say anything else.

Claimed to be from Australian institute for research, hung up on me when I asked what it was regarding when he asked me to confirm a name.

Calls every day, doesn’t leave a voicemail. Try to call back and goes to mailbox is full.
