I am getting calls from this number saying he is from department of human services and asks name and date of birth to verify my identification and talk further.

All of the above! Have any of you put your number in an online classifieds ad lately, to sell something? I'm sure that's where these scammers got my number from.

I have been getting these calls for about a month with a different number at the end and also private number..... My husband got a txt from them at midnight and he replied with a not so nice comment.... Don't think they have called him back since....I haven't received a letter of any kind and don't owe any money so will just block them.... Thanks for the info on who it is :)

Dun & Bradstreet - Centrelink are using them for debt!!! They tell you to pay first then you can appeal and they don't believe you when you say your not working. My advice is to block them make a complaint to Centrelink and look up judgement proof. A debt collection company can also if they become harassing, you have rights they are not allowed to intimidate or threaten. Get everything is writing.

I have received a text saying to contact them urgently???? And just now a phone call that once I answered, they hung up on me!!!!! I have no idea who it is and I'm sure as hell not giving anyone my personal details, if I owe money (which I don't) then an invoice for the said amount and who it is owed too can be sent to me, like how normal businesses send you bills!!!

They keep harassing me using different numbers all the time. Never leave a message or anything. Now reading all the comments above I'll be blocking the number. They can send me stuff in writing if it's so important.

Dun & Bradstreet. They refused to tell me what they were calling about instead demanded private details including all my family members full names, dates of birth, addresses. When I refused they wouldn't tell me what they were calling about. They threatened that if I didn't tell them straight away that I'd be receiving a letter, to which I said good!
It sounded like a complete scam

I called them back a few times asking who it was and what it was regarding and all they said were they were from the department of human services and that I should have received a letter in the mail
I explained that I was only 17 and I do not know what this could be regarding and they just told me to wait for the letter as they do not have access to that information?????

I suspect that 0402 899 852 is from the same mob.They have been harassing me for months.
I ask them to write a letter but they don't. Maybe they don't know my address.

They have no legal right to ask you to send them money. they buy debts from other businesses for a fraction of the price.

Trouble is that the debt with the other business (eg Simply Energy) is a false one.

First i got txt to say ring urgently with reference number .... Then they wanted to know my name address and dob. I never give anything to anyone that i do not know. Today i got a call frim the mobile number and they told me they r from human services department. When i again declined to give them personal info they told me that they will write me a letter. Ok fine write me a letter!! I have no known debts so bring it on!
