Caller: SCAM! DO NOT ANSWER!! Absolute load of rubbish scam with the Microsoft voice telling a story that ‘Australian Border Patrol have confiscated a package being sent to me and it has my PASSPORT inside as well..
I’m slightly bored at the moment so I decided to amuse myself for a moment and connected through to them…
I gave the Indian guy the explanation— you can hear a whole centre of workers in the background trying to scam people—— and he asked in an attempt to sound authoritative: ‘have you ordered a parcel recently and what have you ordered? And do you have any idea who would have mailed you this?’.
I cut him off and asked how ‘my passport’ could possibly be in a parcel being mailed to me, he replied with ‘yes ma’am’. (What!?).
Then asked for my full name so he could ‘open my case file’.. when I said I don’t have a case file and started laughing he hung up and they’ve now blocked my number…
Get a real job, scumbags.
