Caller: Scammer NOT SMS THIS ONE MMS? What does that mean? Are they SAFE? NO. Dont do it. Unfortunately it is possible for an SMS text message and particularly an MMS to be “maliciously crafted” to infect your phone with malware.
So while you think your hearing a simple message that message is running a program to steal all the details from your phone & send it to them.
Typically the maliciously crafted txt, exploits a security vulnerability that gives the ability to run arbitrary code (i.e. a program of the malicious actor’s design) at ‘root’ privilege level (i.e. the program could do just about ANYTHING UNHINDERED by the usual constraints on 3rd-party applications), and to simply download the main ‘payload’ from the Bad Guy’s server somewhere on the internet.

Caller: Scammer All the lazy ratbags use are stupid numbers like this one. (03) 9996 7237 & is just pure laziness, like "but I sent you an email." BEWARE of these scum. If you dont know the number let it go to message bank, then google that number to see if there is some record from google, telstra, optus, vodaphone etc. If nothing comes up, then block it & delete and most important report these scum to scamwatch telstra security services, & make a comment on sites to allow others to see whats going on. Focus on getting these ratbags caught.
