Was expecting a call from my internet provider so stupidly answered. The person claimed to be calling regarding an Australian government rebate on energy bills and were wanting to know if I was the property owner. It took me 4 attempts to get that information due to the thick sub-continental accent. Told them I had to go as I was expecting another call. Given the wide range of similar experiences on here I can only assume it's dodgy. Stay frosty, and alert!

From 0406 391 981 - tax number scammers saying they have suspended your tax number - wankers dont answer it

They call me all the time but they hang up as soon as I respond

Caller: (03) 9989 1710 or 03 numbers similar

Some indian sounding person calls and says he wants to speak about my electric bill and gas bill and I always says 'Not interested thank you' and put phone down - when I ring back I always get the message 'This number is out of service or disconnected'. I get several different 03 numbers but it is always an indian voice replies and asks about my gas and electric bills. Some kind of scam I suppose

Hang up No message. Received 2 calls today under two different numbers.

Bother me so many times in the past. When I picked up, the caller hanged up.

Called me many of times in the day I gave in and picked up No one was there and they hang up straight away

call me 3 times already,not leaving any voice message,When call back， reply "not reach" . Thank you find this website, and I block it immediately.

Me too - had a conversation with them about electricity and now I'm worried they have my voice recording to use inappropriately.

Have been receiving calls from this number for past 3 months, but I never answer unknown numbers. I let the call ring out then look them up on this website then block as 99.9% are spam or fraudsters. The fact that they do not leave a message is generally a clear indicator to begin with.

Claimed to be from a company called Check Your Bill ... asked him do they have a web site - he said "no, sir, but we have an office in south of melbourne 3000" :)

Asked him how he got my number, he didn't know and said I can arrange someone to call you later to answer your question.

Continued wasting his time (and practicing my english) and finally he hung up on me.
