Why do we pretend to have the ":Do not call register" . It doesn't work. I get calls every day - always from a different number so how do you stop them?

If you ring the number back it's very quick to have your number struck off their system then they can concentrate on their curry munchin

Yes it is an unsolicited call and they may have foreign accents, however they are doing their job. If you have all of your contacts in your phone & message bank set-up you can easily choose not to answer. At the end of the day there is no reason to spew your small minded racial hatred while hiding behind a keyboard. FFS live above the line!

calls at 3am and 4am - our company's pay these people by call made - and we are paying higher utilities etc to be receivers of calls made when they know will go to answering machine thus show longer then 5 seconds.

I am getting calls from them 2 times a day every day. Call and hangup if i call back some energy company. Today they there was a 2 way conversation some indian girl trying to scam me. India has a big problem with unemployment and they are just scammers previously they used to scam americans Australians. Alot of my australian friends almost fell for them by paying for IT services, bills etc. Lucky they consult a friend who is related to IT; never give your card number to anyone you don't know they ripped of one of my friend for $300.

I am going to ring my phone company... ummm f*ck that they never answer either... I will email them and report this number and ask them to block it for myself and everyone. They have a RESPONSIBILITY to their customers. We should all do this but sadly most stupid f*ckers won't get off their asses and protest unless it's about their sports team getting a bad deal and that is why this happens in the first place. (Apathy).

An unlisted number or not, they still call as the numbers are simply auto dialled.
