I called back number (03) 9988 1132 reached IVR for a company called Smart Health Australia.

Finally tracked down a number, (03) 8554 6100 and called it to have my name taken off their list. They're Smart Health Australia, based in Melbourne. Providing services for the disabled they said. I told them, I live closer to Brisbane than Sydney, so why ring me to support a Melbourne charity, I lost my legs in Vietnam, in 1969, can you help me by not ringing, as it takes time to wheel to my 'phone if I haven't taken my portable with me. He said he was sorry, but they ring everybody, disabled or not, rich or poor, everyone. Told them to take my details off their contacts. He said it would take 24 hours. I'll believe it if it happens.

PLEASE tell me how you blocked the (03) 9988 1132 call. We get a least one every day, often two, and this has been going on for weeks, months. It must be an automated ring system.
Our telco tell me they can't block it and we've been on the "Do Not Call" register for eight years. On ringing them I learned they are unable to block it as well.

This number has called my privately listed "do not call" mobile a few times now. When I answer, nobody says anything and no voicemail is left. This is extremely annoying so I've now blocked this number. If it's your call centre, don't bother trying to call me again!

So far, I've had no more calls.

It's a computerized machine which dials numbers to establish who is a 'Live' answer, and who is a machine. If you answer, they know someone is home at that time, so they can ring you up, and annoy the hell out of you. I've blocked the number and I'd advise you to do the same.

I have a private number so how did they get it Also have paid telstra to block certain numbers. these callers are a nuisance and a total pay and obviously are based in Victoria

I've put them on my Reject List for my mobile. I receive notifications when they call. They call [at least] twice a day, never leave a message.

This number has been calling several times a day for weeks - 4 times yesterday, 3 times so far today. This is beyond a joke. If you are that call centre, stop ringing now, we will have nothing to do with anything you're promoting.

I don't know how they got my number. If they got it through one of the Charities I support I will be super disappointed.

Doc P you should be able to block any number on your mobile they have the feature for it. If it's a landline I did it with a Telstra call guardian phone, it has the facility to block numbers but it also makes life difficult for people you don't want to block until you get everyone's numbers into the VIP list on the phone.

Many calls from this number. Have now blocked it on my mobile.

They don't leave a message so I'm assuming a begging call. You don't leave messages, I don't call back. simple.
