I just took a call from this number - said they were from Optus and wanted to keep me as a customer. Said my current contract is due to expire end of August (no it doesn't, it's mid-June) and they said I was currently using a Nokia phone which was what I was set up with 2 years ago (not it wasn't, I got a Samsung Galaxy). Offererd another 2 years with bells and whistles plus a free Iphone 4, as long as I signed or another 2 years. Isaid i will think about it and to call me back in 2 days.

I picked up a call from them just over a year ago, asking me if I want to upgrade my mobile phone services with Optus. I said politely, no thanks (I knew it wasn't real because they didn't address me by my name- which they should have with the account details). They were a bit pushy about it, so I just had to hang up. I saved that number in my phone, luckily, because a month later, they called again, no joke, and have been doing so about 2-4 times a week since.
I rang the proper number for Optus and asked about it, and they don't know what's going on.

I got calls from this number - advised they were calling on behalf of optus and offered me a new phone for signing up for another 2 years. I agreed and I received my new phone within a week. I assumed it was a scam but it seems I got lucky this time.

Had a missed call today. Thanks to this site I just typed in the number, read all the above and also put the number in my phone as a scam call. They also rang me about 24mths ago and I thought they were Optus, again I waited 3 weeks and rang Optus, they knew nothing about my new phone. Luckily for me I was just off contract, and got a new phone through the real Optus. They must know time is up for me again. Sorry to all my friends but if you arent in my phone you arent getting answered. :(

They have called me twice over the past few days, say to call them about an over due acc with optus but I don't have an overdue acc, they left a VM saying to call immediately to discuss this and also about an uograde. Riiiiight.

I just got a call from this number. Didn't hear it ringing so it's a missed call. Reading this, I think I'm not (never ever) going to answer. Have put this number in my address book with "scam" as name. I hate these kind of calls ... if I want to have or buy something, I'll go to the shop.

Some telemarketing losers trying to peddle their goods to unsuspecting australians seem to be a optus reseller do not trust anything they say.

Reseller for Optus possibly. Strathfield called me on this number in the past as they are the Optus dealer i got my phone through. They will try to recontract you as they make a fee for signing you up.Side note they sold me a 3gs about 4 days before the iphone 4 was announced and wouldn't cancel despite cooling off period. Could also be a scam but its prob a 3rd party authorised to do this on behalf of the reseller you brought your phone from.

If you call the number back there is an automated response where you can select to be removed from their calling list. That should help you guys that are getting called all the time.

Get calls from this number intermittently. I haven't answered it as I suspected it was a marketing call. I realise they have a job to do but after other posts on this page I will answer it and tell them firmly that I'm not interested. If they persist ......well then manners go out the window.

I am quite discusted with the call I received from Olivia C/- Oceania / Optus.

Her slang telephone manner does her or Optus no favours.

After declining her offer to upgrade my Internet service - She hung up on me

with a

"Ok Mate ..Just trying to save u some money"

......slam....down goes the phone

I'm going to Telstra,

I am also with Optus , They have called me and my Partner as our phones are linked,  every two days for 3 weeks now. Im glad I looked this up as we no we cant upgrade till feb 4th, i have missed there calls and when I ring back I get the oceana group also, they never leave a message this is really annoying as my partner works nights and we have a baby also, and the phonecalls not needed , someone (optus) needs to sort this out !!! before we go elsewhere instead of upgrading with them !!!!!
