Phone rang b4 for 2 rings then stopped. I did the *10# thingy and got this number. Im glad it stopped. Cos I really hate charities ringing me asking for donations or to sell tickets. Especially the callers that get paid for doing what they do!

Called number back and got recorded message about backyard buddies programme, at the end they stated if I left my number they would remove me from their call register but may take upto 48hrs, so have done that will wait and see if I get any more calls.

Charity???? this number rings every day while I'm at work, but today is a local public holiday so I answered - Sandra from Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife wanting to tell me about all the good work they are doing protecting koalas in Qld. I have never heard of these people, I support the AKF which is a recognised group, where did this lot come from? They have a website, but are based in NSW. Why are they ringing from Victoria about something in Qld for a NSW so called charitable group?

I do not donate to any group which uses paid collectors, this lot are falling into the same category as Careflight, who aren't winning any hearts with the bombardment methods they use.

Agree with Steve about the number in Australia, why bother ringing if there is no response when I answer the phone - a petty nuisance.

This is some type of scam. Every time I am overseas, I get calls daily from this number. I am with Optus. It happened when I was in USA, China and Barbados. I never answered the calls. The calls stop as soon as I get home or they just hang up when I answer in Oz.

Didnt answer call but called number back and message says National Parks & Wildlife, callimg about their "Backyard Buddies" program.
I left it at that.
