we, the public, who pay taxes, go to work and live a respectful life, get this type of scam phone call every single day because we are in the hands of a government who could not care less, does not pay taxes and does not do its job in a respectful manner. Every single day many phone calls from scammers and we live in a first world country. Goes to tell!!!

Caller: annoying people

I have blocked this number and numerous others almost the same- surveys who I did not agree to accepting calls from. I am on the do not call list and I get calls like this every single day from at least one caller if not more. Omg how annoying to have no control at all over the phone number that costs me a fortune to only ever receive scam, survey and sales calls.

Just for everyone else: calls from social research companies on behalf of organisations such as councils or hospitals, or for social research purposes such as tv ratings or political opinions, are exempt from the Do Not Call Register. The Register is primarily aimed at unsolicited sales calls. Unscrupulous companies may try to get around it by saying “I’m not selling you anything” but will usually start their call with “how are you today” (that’s a giveaway). Generally, the social research companies will introduce themselves before launching into the questions, they will also tell you how long it will take and may even be able to schedule an alternative time if you are willing to participate.
Please don’t take it out on the people calling you - they are just doing their job (even the ones that are working for unscrupulous companies).

Received calls from (03) 9977 5957, (03) 9977 5954, and (02) 9197 4742 in recent days. No voicemail left. Called them back and heard recorded message saying it was Kantar Market Research*. Annoying and unsolicited calls.

Claimed to survey on behave of my local city council (so obviuosly they know where I live), and asked a few random questions about how I rate the council's performance. in the end asked my name. and I just realized it might be a scam after I told my name.

Unknown number never answered..but they left a message..Some Kantar survey group...NOT interested

kept calling, asking if my fridge was running

Received call at 3pm yesterday (Saturday) supposedly doing a survey on Federal election. I have just gone through losing a family member, & am unwell myself. Needless to say, I politely refused to participate, hung up & blocked number. But blocking numbers doesn’t help as they use so many extension numbers. I am also on the Do Not Call register, but that doesn’t stop them.

called at 7.30pm, i did not answer and caller did not leave message. I will block this number after reading feedback from others

I have also blocked this number and other similar numbers many times and the next day will get another call obviously from the same people with just one digit changed - I am also on the do not call register but seems it doesn't mean anything....enough!!
