Caller: Scammer Message left from a computer generated voice. Apparently it was the ATO and my tax file number had been suspended due to fraudulent activity. The message directed me to press 1 to speak to an officer. Clearly, this is an extremely urgent scam, and I needed to speak to the caller to sort out this issue. Unfortunately when I called the number back, Optus advised me that the mobile number I called had been disconnected or was switched off... so I guess I’ll have to wait until these scammers call back in order to waste done of their time!
