Caller: Male caller

This call showed as coming from Melbourne. When I answered a male voice with an Indian accent (and background noise of a call centre) told me that he was from Telstra and was calling regarding malicious software which had been downloading onto my computer via the internet. I asked him if he could tell me what my internet address was (and of course he couldn't). He then asked why I wanted to know, so I told him that it was because I suspected his call to be a scam. He then terminated the call immediately.

Calls and asks if he’s speaking with “Mr Smith” - generic name I guess?
Advising him it is not Mr Smith and to delete my number, said ok and hung up.

just contacted Telstra yesterday and today received this number calling - scam

This call should not even get a second ring if Telstra really got their act together.

Number says Melbourne but clearly not. The usual slight delay if you answer. These days I pretend I am deaf and scream into the handset - Loud! Always get a click off.

Just received a call on mobile, which marked it as "suspected spam". I didn't answer.

Hang up. No voice. Usually don’t answer these calls! Annoying.

Scam caller spoke with foreign accent phishing for personal details

Got a missed call from this number. Not someone I know so I am going to block it.

I Live in the Pilbara region of West Australia.
Rang my landline and when answering machine starts, they hang up.
Get a few of these calls every couple of weeks, then nothing for a week or two and starts again.
