I called ANZ during the week about needing help opening a dispute. Same rep called me back to fix my address on an older account two days later. They were legitimate. I’m not sure why some comments are writing such misinformation.

I had a missed call and a message in regards to my dispute with a charge and there was a number to call back and a claim number. I originally thought this was a scam and I contacted ANZ through my banking app and they looked it up and said that I did have a dispute which was lodged months ago. I did in the end have to receive the call from that number to discuss the dispute I had forgotten about.

I got this call as well and they left this Message

Hi, ANZ Disputes needs to discuss your claim. Please call us on 1800 203 177 or (03) 9683 5025 from overseas (8AM - 5PM, Mon-Fri AEST). Your claim ID is C-2945708

Reading the complaints here I know it’s a scam! I know ANZ would never asked for details and I don’t have a claim!

Seems to be from ANZ. I had requested a call back a couple of days before. For some reason they could not verify my identification and asked me to go to a branch (my address was different). They followed up with an SMS that has sent me msgs from ANZ previously so everything seems to be 99% legit… but I left thinking of that 1%…

Legitimate call following up my credit card application and requesting additional paperwork for me to submit. Sent follow up text with details to upload documents, which were the same as the ones from the ANZ official email.

WARNING
The scam call centre messed up because it was 6am here in australia haha so I know it definitely was not ANZ

WARNING Complete scam and anyone on here commenting otherwise is also part of the scam. Transfer funds from spending account to secure account asap
Do not answer or txt any attempted calls


1, you attempt to make a purchase via YouTube link or similar.
2, You then make payment with your card .
3, receive txt from disconnected number that is not ANZ stating suspicious activity has blocked card txt back 1 or 2 if suspected transaction was you or not
4, reply No with 2
5, they attempt to call you from this 9955 3000 number

This is a legitimate call. They verified a reversal of a transaction that I requested a few hours ago and can confirm that it was reversed right after the call.

I think it's legitimate. Called me only after I lodged a CC enquiry, had the relevant reference number. They all have Indian accents but that's not necessarily indicative of a scam.

I ignored it, as I always do with landline calls from interstate, and they didn’t leave a message, so I thought no more about it. Then I got an email saying they were trying to contact me re a merchant issue. All they needed to do was leave a message on the phone, and I’d have called them back.
