Scam. Calling to connect you to NBN. NBN not even available in this area for at least another 2 years. Claim they are from Melbourne .Poor line quality, (assuming it's a VOIP call) and hard to understand because of accent.

had this number ring me .. Telemarketer from Drummoyne, Australia - didn't answer as not recognise number and looked it up grrrr

absolutely sick of these calls , I receive them 3 or 4 times a day then they call between 7pm and 8pm . needs to be something more done about these so called scammers or some are just Telstra telemarketers . very frustrating

This number has been calling my work phone continuously for two weeks! It is always an Indian sounding person, with a lot of background noise so I can tell they are in a large open space call centre. Every time they make a big deal making sure I know that they are calling from Melbourne, stressing that yes they are Australian. They say that they are from Optus and can offer me a flat rate of $35 for my business phone, which they say is much better than my current deal with Telstra. We are not even with Telstra! I tell them "My boss isn't in at the moment, can I take a message and get him to call you back if he's interested?" and then they always hang up.

Stupid telemarketers. Had a hangup call from this number at a hospital where I work.

Received a call from this number.
The female said she was from Telstra and our phone bill will be $45.00 per month including line rental.
I requested an email with pricing details but she said they do not do that.
So I requested a quote.
She then hung up.

Overseas Scam caller hard to understand implies they are from Telstra
