Pretended to be from Visa and there was a problem with a visa card. Just press a button and give them all your details. A real scam . Beware.

I received this call when I was in Japan. It came up on the phone as originating in Japan. Didn’t answer. Glad I didn’t. How does this show as originating in Japan when it clearly didn’t? I don’t understand…

I was in Japan when I got this call. It came up as having come from Japan! ie +81 3 9871 7447. Didn’t answer because I knew this was rubbish. How do these systems work? A real mystery to me.

These scammers not trying very hard these days

A male voice with an Indian accent claiming to be from Microsoft calling about a problem with my computer. I advised there was no problem and disconnected the call and blocked the number.

Missed call. Similar number within 1 minute. No voicemail left. Most likely scam. Ignored and blocked.

I let the call go to voicemail and a message was left. It was an automated message claming that my Amazon Prime account was to be auto renewed for $99.99.

This call showed as coming from Ringwood, Vic. I had missed the call and the caller reached my message bank, but didn't leave a message. When I called the number back a recorded voice told me that their message bank was full and couldn't accept any messages. I would say this was almost certainly an attempted scam call. I checked and found that I had received a call from a similar (Ringwood,Vic.) number on the same day, which was different by just one digit and was a recorded scam message. It's fairly obvious that someone has hi-jacked a block of phone numbers in the Ringwood region and is using them to make scam calls.

Lady with Indian accent said she was from Telstra. Spam call. I hung up.

Robotic voice from "Visa", hung up straight away!
