Heavy Indian accent, pretends to be from Commonwealth Bank and asked if I want to decline a payment on my behalf. 100% scam to get your banking details.

Caller: Claiming to be CBA

Caller with strong accent claiming to be from Commonwealth Bank rang to tell me that she was checking up on payment of $800 that I apparently made to Mr John Henderson in Ohio USA this morning. I went along with it and said yes John and I were old friends.
She disconnected the call :)

Automated call advising Visa account has been charged $1000+ press 1. to confirm the transaction or 2. to report as fraud. Obviously, the call is a FRAUD.

i don't answer unknown numbers especially from area codes like Victoria. This site is useful to validate my approach so that I don't spam someone legit but they should leave a message. This lot don't leave messages. Anyway how do these scammers manage to create and access so many phone numbers. Telcos are not doing their job.

a woman with an accent claimed to be from telstra stating that hackers were accessing our internet and I needed to follow her instructions to stop them from accessing our devices - continued on with the story after I told her I wasn't with telstra and wasn't interested in what she was saying. Scammers - don't answer

Caller claimed to be from Amazon Security Services, saying I had an order on which there was a problem. I never order from Amazon! Clearly a scam.
